I’ve enjoyed the classes the most this past year. I enjoyed the computer classes since I came to SFMS. At my old school, I never had 2 classes where we work on computers every day. So being at a school with computer classes is just great. I also like the cafeteria. Most people don’t like it but I want to be grateful of what food we have so I get the nutrition they serve. It’s also way better than my old school’s food. It has some of the same food at my old school but better. Also, they serve other foods that I wouldn’t of thought they would serve at a middle school. That is specifically why I’ve enjoyed my year here at SFMS.

Lakers Championship
Im happy for the Lakers. I am not happy that not my team didn’t win this year but it’s alright we’ll get them next year. They are a good paired up team and worked hard for it this year. The Lakers for some reason has been always a good team. With the old school players Robert Horry, Shaquille O’neal, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Derek Fisher, Rick Fox, Nick Van Exel, etc. They always have had a good team but I think next year it will be the Cavs year to win. That’s all I need to say.

My English Skills Improvements
I really improved my english skills this past year. Ever since I came from my old school, Mt.Gleason, I have been having 2 english classes. One is my regular english and another one is like helping to get better grade in my regular english class. So they both help alot. To be specific, I have really improved my spelling, writing, and computer skills. I never really spelled all this great, but now you can hardly find any mistakes in my writing. My writing has improved because I know how to write good 5 paragraph essays and to write persuasive essays which I never new how to do. And my computer skills has improved much because in my 2nd english class, we use our technology we have today to do our work. So thats how my english skills improved this past year.

No Uniforms at SFMS
My position statement is students should not be required to wear collared shirts at SFMS. I say this because for one reason, it’s really not even considered a uniform. Uniforms is when everyone involved in something wears the same exact clothing. Then at this school, they consider collared shirts a uniform. Mostly all students wear sweaters with different colors, and no one dresses the same here at SFMS.
Also, students do not get to express what they are. The uniforms are basically hiding who they are or in other words hiding their personality. What I mean by hiding their personality is that when they wear uniforms, they look boring and dull. It might also make them angry at the fact that they have to almost dress the same everyday that they just might not care about school anymore. Somehow it leads to getting in trouble. They might get so mad and then just take it off when supervisors aren’t looking. They get caught, and then their in trouble.
For parents too, it may cost alot more than usual for clothing. They already have to buy them clothes that don’t include collared shirts. Then they have to buy extra collared shirts for all their kids that go to SFMS. Plus, undershirts that parents need to buy for kids. Kids at SFMS for some reason like to wear undershirts under their uniform. It may be because they want to take it off afterschool or even at school to be sneaky. So there’s no need to have uniforms at SFMS and make parents spend more on children.
Although, there might be some reasonable reasons why kids should wear uniforms to school. Some research shows that children perform better when they have uniforms on. That may be true, but obviously it doesn’t work at SFMS.
All of this shows exactly why there should be no unifoms at SFMS. It makes the school suck and makes kids dislike the school. They also can’t wait to get out of the school. SFMS would be a better school without uniforms. Hopefully it won’t be like this forever.

Magic @ Lakers
This is one of my personal post I am required to do by my teacher Mr.Hill. This is about the game 1 of the championship finals of 2009 in the NBA. It is going to be really exiting as the series start between the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers. It is tonight and you can’t miss it. Honestly, I go for the Magic’s. I am not a Laker hater as much of you might think, I just think if not my favorite team Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t win, than Orlando should. They really stepped up their game and I’m proud of them. So I think if the Orlando Magic made it that far as for this year, then they have a chance and truly deserve the championship ring. That’s all I need to say. If you want to watch the Lakers get smashed, tune in to the channel ABC and watch it. It will come on around 6 or 7 pm. So look for it on that channel and if you see it coming on later, set a reminder to have it notify you that it’s on. It’s going to be great.

A New Skill I Would Want to Learn This Summer
I would want to learn how to skate. I’m not much of the skater type, but it looks fun so it would be cool to learn something new like that. If I were being taught, I would practice and practice until I get good at it. It wouldn’t be a skill that I would want live off of, but it would be a skill that maybe ill do when i’m bored. Or maybe I would make skater friends and they would want to skate. Then I could go skate with them and not be left behind. This is exactly why I would want to learn how to skate as a new skill for this summer.

The First Day With My Driver’s License
If it was my first day with my driver’s license I would drive myself to school and show it off to everyone. Then, I would drive to my friends house every once in a while instead of having someone take me or taking the bus there. I would also drive to parties and other events. Sometimes I might even just drive for the fun of it and get something to eat. Thats what I would do if it was my first day with my driver’s license.

Ice Cube
My favorite rapper would have to be Ice Cube. Ice Cube was apart of the Californian group N.W.A. A group that came from Compton, California and rapped and spoke about real life. The fans and other people understood where they was coming from and so they like and respected him. But in other cases, some didn’t like him at all. They did this certain rapping called gangster rap. So people that did not like that kind of music wanted to ban gangster rap. But now, he does his same rap but except now he matured and talks about life now in his songs. He now acts in alot of movies such as Friday, All About The Benjamins, Friday After Next, Next Friday, Boyz In Da Hood, Are We There Yet, Are We Done Yet, The Longshots, etc.
So that is why I like and respect him for what he does and for him as a person.
